How To Enroll

There are several pathways to enrolling at Mark Twain Middle School.

For the Residential School, please check whether the child lives within the residential school boundaries, using the Residential School Identifier or a local school map. If the student lives within Mark Twain's boundaries, the family can automatically enroll by visiting enroll.lausd.net . Enrollment for residential families is now open for the 2023/2024 school year.

To apply to Mark Twain's World Languages Magnet or Dual Language Programs, please visit echoices.lausd.net.
  • Unified Enrollment begins accepting On-Time applications around October 1st.
  • The window for LATE applications opens in January.
  • The magnet program does provide transportation for students who meet certain criteria. For more information, please contact LAUSD Unified Enrollment or Ms. Omori, the Mark Twain Magnet Coordinator at: [email protected].
Students living outside of Mark Twain's residential boundaries may also apply to the School for Advanced Studies (SAS) program by visiting echoices.lausd.net. Students living within Mark Twain's residential boundaries can automatically enroll in the SAS program based on prior academic performance. In this case, please contact the school for more information.

Admissions to the Individualized Honors Program (IHP) require applying through echoices.lausd.net and Mark Twain's in-house application. For more information, please visit the IHP section of this site.
