Culmination
The Mark Twain Community is planning a number of exciting activities for the 8th Grade Culmination Class of 2023! Below is a list of important dates and events. Refer to the slide show presentation "8th Grade Culmination meeting" file for more details. Additional 8th grade activities are listed in the "Updated Timeline 8th Grade Spring 2023" file.
Email the 8th Grade Culmination Chair: Angela Arredondo [email protected] if you have questions and/or would like to join the culmination volunteer team. As always, parent volunteers are very welcome and greatly needed!
Requirements to participate in Mark Twain culmination activities and to receive the LAUSD Middle School Certificate of Completion are also included in the file links.

Important Dates/Events:
1) Saturday June 3rd: Parent organized 8th grade Knottsberry Farm Trip
2) Monday June 5th: 8th Grade Honor’s Award Assembly (5:30-7pm in Auditorium – time is tentative)
3) Wednesday June 7th: School organized 8th Grade “Grad Fest” [Fun outdoor activities during school hours - parent donations needed]
4) Thursday June 8th: Parent organized 8th Grade Dance [Music and Dancing in the school gym during school hours]
5) Friday June 9th: 8th Grade Culmination Ceremony (begins 9am)
